representatives of local residents, councilors , Lambeth Council Officers and Police will meet tomorrow to discuss what went wrong in Davinci appealing the Licensing Committee decision in February 2010 to restrict their opening hours.
We are told that our only protection against flagrant violations of Licensing is to seek a review of the license .Yet when we win with an absolutely watertight case with 28 instances of violations, a year later later the restrictions are lifted.
Even during the year since the committee decision , the premises have been able to carry on business as usual pending the appeal
The licensing laws are wrong and must be changed to protect us against this type of premises
